G+_Alex Kruger
Gina Trapani listening to the podcast, when you answered the voicemail you said you were perplexed that people still need contacts to be transferred. I work in a Verizon store and I do this all the time. The most commonly heard phrase in my store from customers is "I don't remember my Google account, I never use it". Also, when you create a new contact, it lets you choose between Google and phone storage, most of my visited use phone storage. It may be that I work in farm country Pennsylvania, but I get the feeling that there is a gap between our tech crowd and the"regular people" that don't really care about syncing and cloud stuff. G+_Jim Jackson (J3xtr)
Alex Kruger I recently used Verizon's backup tool to transfer my girlfriend's contacts from her iPhone to a Moto-x. The problem she has is they all backed up to the phone storage instead of Google Contacts. How can I flip them to Google Contacts?
G+_Vance McAlister
I think everyone who buys an Android phone should be strongly encouraged to use the Google services as much as possible, especially the contacts. It should be part of the sales rep's checklist of things to explain before the customer gets out the door.
G+_Alex Kruger
Jim Jackson I use a cellebrite machine in my store, it allows me to push to gmail. Any store should have that. If not, try exporting to .vcf, then emailing to Google and importing contacts from that. You can also export iTunes contacts to Google. Vance McAlister I strongly urge all of my customers. Whether or not they listen, is up to them.?
G+_Akshay Sharma
Jim Jackson install an app called IS Contacts ( https://itunes.apple.com/cy/app/contacts-backup-is-contacts/id509070714?mt=8) and simply export your contacts and email them to your Gmail account. Log onto Gmail and you'll be asked if you want to import all those contacts into your Google account
G+_Jim Jackson (J3xtr)
Good suggestions by all. Let me throw a curve ball by saying that we traded in the iPhone at the time of purchase.

G+_Akshay Sharma
That's easy. In the People app, go to menu, then Import/Export. Export contacts. Go to the same menu again and select Import and import that file back and you will asked which account you want to import them into. Select your Google account.
