G+_Zoom Cool
I have a strange battery issue with my Nexus 5. When my phone is connected to my work wifi "Android System" keeps my phone awake for hours. Each hour I see battery drain for over 10% on stand-by. Bluetooth, NFC are turned off. In wifi setting I've turned off scanning and checked off wifi optimization. This only happens on my work wifi. I get a pretty good wifi signal too. Please help. G+_C.J. R
If your wifi has multiple server access points such as my work Wi-Fi it will seriously drain battery. I usually try to keep Wi-Fi off at work. Also you cam disable the option to always allow location services to locate you via wifi
G+_C.J. R
This option is in the advanced tab of the Wi-Fi settings. It will always keep your Wi-Fi on even if you turn it off unless it's disabled.
G+_Zoom Cool
Thank you for the suggestion. I tired it and it didn't work. It is still loosing about 10% of batter on stand-by and my phone seems a bit warmer than normal (almost 28C). I think the only solution is to turn wifi off.... sigh... G+_C.J. R
Glad I could help but sorry It didn't work. Also if you go into the app menu in settings you can see how long each app has been running and how much RAM it's using. I'd do that if turning off wifi doesn't fix the problem
