G+_Phil Chung
Arrrgh, just dropped my Nexus 7 2013 - it went flat on it's back onto a wooden floor. It switched off and won't come back on. What could be the problem? It's definitely off as it's not appearing on the network.
G+_Phil Chung
Now having said that, it's appearing on the network, so looks like the screen is busted... :-(
G+_Gary McCrorey
Sucks, man. I feel your pain.
G+_Eric Shoe
If the screen isn't cracked then the cable just came loose. Take the back off and check. The slightest crack in the screen will screw the touch though.
G+_Eric Shoe
Cable comes loose on its own often enough. Good luck
G+_Phil Chung
Will have a look at taking it apart. Screen doesn't have any visible cracks and seems to still respond to touch as I can hear the unlock sound when I swipe up. A visit to iFixit is in order... G+_Eric Shoe
Get the top loose first then go around the USB port. You just need a spudger and some patience.
G+_Phil Chung
Will keep that in mind. Will be an evening project one day. Not in a hurry as I've been using the tablet less since getting the HTC One M8 earlier in the year, and even less since getting a Chromecast. Was enjoying messing around with Lollipop though... G+_Phil Chung
Well, what do you know. It's fixed. Cable had popped out slightly. All working again, though I did crack the case slightly near the camera lens...
