G+_Phil Chung Posted November 24, 2014 Share Posted November 24, 2014 Does anyone know what will happen if I cast a movie from Google Play Movies from my Nexus 7 to my Chromecast? Will it use the copy of the movie that has been downloaded on my tablet or always stream flower the Internet? It would be nice to stream the local copy so it doesn't use Internet bandwidth. The only way to avoid that would be to stream (mirror) your screen, but that will be quite laggy in comparison, and would require you to keep your tablet showing the movie for the duration. I have casted movies from Plex, not my screen, and it did not,nor could it cast over the internet.
