Hey guys! I'm a very happy Nexus 6 owner. I got one (luckily) at Christmas. 64GB Midnight Blue. Almost 6 months later, I'm still very happy with the device. I think the size is great. However, now I'm starting to notice the battery life being somewhat below par. I'm coming from a Galaxy S2 which I had for 4 years, and I would get 2 hours of battery life is I was lucky. I knew the battery life on the Nexus 6 would be slightly worse than the other flagships, but I have to say I'm seeing possibly worse battery life than I expected. I get between 3-5 screen on time. I don't do a lot of heavy gaming (Block Puzzle is what I mainly play), but I listen to a lot of music on Google Play Music. I also do a lot of web browsing, and I talk to friends a lot on Hangouts. I've conditioned my battery and I always wait for my battery to reach 100% before I take it off charge. I'm not entirely sure if this is to be expected (as I said I'm coming from the GS2 which after four years of constant use had abysmal battery life), and the only thing I have to compare is what I've heard from people who have used a Note 4 and an iPhone 6 Plus which gets crazy battery life and SoT. I use the Turbo Charger that came with my Nexus 6, which does help for when I get low on battery and I can quickly charge. I keep my brightness just below the middle mark. Unfortunately, I usually have to charge the device twice a day. I had a suspicion that the quick Charger was damaging the battery, but I'm pretty sure its supposed to be used as your standard Charger.

Is this normal for the Nexus 6? Should I not be using the Turbo Charger this way? Have you guys got any tips for saving battery life, in general and possibly specifically for the Nexus 6? Thanks!

Kevin Rieber off Charger I get around 10 hours. I was about to edit my post to mention this before I saw your comment, but I have Bluetooth on to sync notifications on my watch. However I haven't noticed much of a difference in battery life with the watch connected and disconnected. As for notifications I don't get a lot of notifications. I get about 10 emails, 5 Twitter notifications and Hangouts. I get the constant Google Play Music notification for the play/pause/skip/back buttons. I don't get very good stand by time, even though I've heard people say they get very good standby time (about 15 hours). When it comes to signal, I'm almost always on full 4G. It doesn't fluxuate a whole lot. Again I haven't noticed the watch take much out of the battery of my Nexus 6. The screen is the main killer, I'm aware of that, I'd just like a way to get a bit more out of it.

To give you an idea, when I posted this I was at 98% battery. When I began writing this comment I was at 80% and now I'm at 77%. During the time after I posted this question I had the screen on for an extra 5 minutes and then it was in standby with no notifications and full signal for WiFi and cellular.
