G+_David Herron
This can't really be true, can it? http://en.yibada.com/articles/40376/20150623/motorola-droid-turbo-android-5-1-lollipop-os-update-release-not-happening-smartphone-to-jump-to-android-m-instead.htm
G+_John Adams
Makes sense. The phone runs great now, so why update to the out going L biuld. M is working great on my Nexus 6 & is an improvement over L in many ways. Jason is running M preview as a daily driver. I would be too but Waze wasn't working, maybe it is now. G+_Joseph Cappellino
John Adams that's one of the reasons I switched back to Lollipop. Waze? and Android Wear and Google Fit kept crashing. I'm sure I'll try the next release, especially if it has Now on Tap enabled.
G+_Joseph Cappellino
That's not necessarily true, Doug Miller. The MotoX (2013) skipped 5.0 and went straight to 5.1.1. Also, most OEMs now have early access to the source code so, it's quite possible they feel the changes in M are better and worth waiting for (one jump instead of two). G+_Corey Fields
Joseph Cappellino - but like Doug Miller was suggesting, that would mean another 6-8 months of delays and testing, and that's after the public release which hasn't happened yet. So if you're a Droid Turbo user who got the phone soon after release in November 2014, you'd be looking at 18 months or more on an outdated OS. That's just not acceptable. G+_Tom Gehrke
As a Droid Turbo owner, I hope it's not true. That's been the message for every point release since 5.0 came out. It's allegedly been in testing. The Motorola forum talks as if a soak test is imminent. It's time.
