G+_Marlon Thompson
Let the pressing of the "system update" button begin You know that doesn't work right but I guess your still going to constantly do it all day today and tommorow and tommorow and... Originally shared by Marc-André Beauchamp A #Lollipop with that, sir ? As you know, Android 5.0 more known under the name of #Lollipop begins to be deployed on our devices from today, November 3 in the next few hours ! Is this not a good news? :-) The good practices to know To receive automatically the OTA update, you need to have an unmodified software device. The update is completely random, do not waste your time to click on the search for update button, is unnecessary. Indeed, the frequency of research to find out if an update is available alternates between 2 and 5 hours depending on the product and the manufacturer. Just be patient. Bad practices Clear the data from Google Services Framework is a very bad idea. Indeed, each device via this process, is identified by an ID system generated based on the date of construction, the mobile operator, the first launch of the device and in fact the brand and model of the phone. By removing this process, theoretically you move your device at the end of the list of the deployment, which will slow the arrival of the update. Device compatible for the update Owners of the Nexus devices range start from #Nexus4, #Nexus10, #Nexus7 (2012 and 2013) and of course the #Nexus5 be the first to receive the update. Google Play Edition devices will undoubtedly be the second to receive the update. (The list below is subject to change, please refer to the manufacturer's website to make sure that your device is compatible) Google Play : Moto G, HTC One M8, Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One (M7), Sony Z Ultra and the LG G Pad 8.3 Samsung : All 2014 devices. Motorola : #MotoX, #MotoG (original and 4G), #MotoE, #DroidUltra, #DroidMaxx and #DroidMini. LG : #LGGPro, #LGG2 (original and pro) , #LGG3 and G Pad 8.3 Sony : All the Z range. HTC : HTC One (M7 and M8), Mini and Mini 2 Stay tuned for a post surprise about Android 5.0 will follow this week! :-) #Android #Lollipop #MarcTips Originally from GooSphere in french. _________________ To know more about android : https://support.google.com/android/?hl=fr We also have a Nexus helpcenter : https://support.google.com/nexus

G+_Kyle Turpin
I'm not sure what that button is even for, really. It never actually finds an update before I receive the push notification.
