G+_Mark Stronge
Z2? Can't beat the nexus for speed and simplicity - no duplicate apps made by the manufacturer which you can't remove, no compatibility issues with Google's services, guaranteed updates to android L. G+_Mark Stronge
No, really don't. Not only is it slower than the nexus 5, its laggy, the screen is very badly calibrated, actually not at all as the saturation and sharpness is bumped up at a cost of accuracy, contrast and brightness. G+_Roy Delgado
Mark Stronge you've used the G3? Was it a review unit or final production? One of the Korean versions or one of the US models?
G+_Mark Stronge
A friend has used it and I have watched Erica Griffin review of it.
G+_Elizabeth Whitmire
Mark Stronge What about Erica's review turned you off? It was almost all positive. She had a few minor negatives to note, but no phone is perfect. Can't wait to see the G3 in the store.
G+_Mark Stronge
Are you watching the same video I am? I see more negatives that are important to me, you may not.
G+_Roy Delgado
Mark Stronge so you haven't actually held or used the device? I'm sure Mike Mosley can just watch reviews too. Also most of the honest reviews have openly stated that current units are NOT running final software for the US market, and on unoptimized hardware. G+_Elizabeth Whitmire
Thanks - I hadn't seen that one. Here's my takeaway, though: for anyone who's addicted to screen brightness as Erica apparently is, this is not the phone for them. The display is obviously going to require more power, and even more so if you're over using it. The sharpening does bug me, but she only has the Korean version, and I want to see if this is fixed in the US model. The other stuff she mentioned: some of it actually sounded like user error, and the rest didn't seem like such a big deal. What I'm looking forward to: 3GB RAM (will I finally have no loss in performance even while the Play Store app is updating & installing apps?); the new UI (I've never found a launcher I really like, but I do really like what I see on the G3), all the ways to customize the phone; and this is one of a few phones that still have a removable battery. Thank goodness. So again, to judge the sharpening effect and everything else, I'll wait to see this in the store rather than pre-ordering.
G+_Mike Mosley
Roy Delgado and Elizabeth Whitmire I have had a nexus 5 and 4. I'm a huge Googler (seeing I work for them) just I can get that phone when ever and seeing I have had it I'm wanting to spend out to other droids. I have the m8 on sprint ATM and I love it! Small light and fast in my opinion New phone want to try something else and I'm torn between the G3 and S5 just due to the fact both flagship and both super good from what I have seen in there features battery and size. Just idk what one would be best for me. #androidproblems #notapple

G+_Elizabeth Whitmire
Compared with the Z2, the G3 has optical image stabilization, a removable battery, wireless charging, 32GB storage + 128GB (if you get a card of that size), F2.0 aperture. All that is per the Versus app.? Edit: that 128GB is apparently just an average I guess? Because I was just looking at the LG site, where it says the G3 supports an insane 2TB! Wowzer.
