G+_Sean Coston
I'm really confused because I really want the Gnote3 because of all its hardware but as an android enthusiast I love to get the nexus 5. Knowing that I can get used to touch wiz which one would be your choice?
G+_Steve LeMoine
It's a tough call for sure. I got a Note 3 and love it but now I will have to wait awhile for KitKat. As for TouchWiz, I installed Nova Prime launcher and don't notice it much. Can't use the stock weather widget but otherwise everything else works. Battery life goes to the Note 3. It's amazing
G+_Robert Marshall
Personally, I would choose the Nexus Five. To me the Note 3 is just too big! As for Touchwiz? I loathed that way back on my Samsung Omnia, and I hate it on my sister's Droid Charge. If you do get the N3 root that puppy and stick a new launcher and/or ROM on there! ;-)
G+_Craig Sotelo
I came from owning all nexus devices as well. At first I thought the screen was way too big as well on the note 3 but you get used to it very fast now holding a nexus 4 feels like holding a iPhone. I love the s pen I never thought I would use it as much as I am using it now. The multi tasking is true multi tasking on this phone I can have 2 Windows open each containing multiple Windows within them all at one time. This was the deciding factor for me. I can watch YouTube while I write a email or check things online. You just can't do that with anything else stock. I use Nova launcher as well and don't even notice touch wiz. Battery life is insane on this device as well I can get 2 days of moderate use if I need to without recharging. Granted it's a 3200mah battery. I guess it depends on what type of user you are. G+_Robert Hendrix
Personally for my big hands I'd love a oh one the size of the Note3. For the same cost it is a 0.8 inch smaller phone but it's off contract and my biggest issue has always been crap ware and updates. So My N5 will be here this week. G+_Mike Flanagan
Personally I plan on getting a Nexus5. I currently have a GS3 and went to great lengths to get rid of touchwiz and put on CM 10.1.
G+_Gavin Rawson
Having used a nexus 4 for 6 months and a Galaxy S4 for the last few months I don't think touchWiz is as bad a people make out. Multi screen mode is good and the camera app is much better then stock android.
G+_Robert Hendrix
Gavin Rawson Touchwiz isn't as bad as it is played out to be. LG G2, if you see a review of them you see all the tutorial messages that continually appear in its launcher, that is annoying. Coming from a Gala xy S2, I had the S4 a week and returned it. THe bloatware and non-Sprint stuff I had to deal with which was not a better experience from Samsung was crazy. I think because there are shortcuts in stock android and 3rd party launchers that Samsung purposely takes out, that is where the issues come in. G+_George Fromtulsa
Robert Hendrix in fairness, the G2 tutorials can be disabled. Might be useful the first or second time. I have the original Note. It seemed huge when I bought it grey market before US release. And it was a subject of derision, with exaggerated photos showing it dwarfing the heads of users making calls. As I carried it daily, though, no one laughed, and many lusted for their own. _Which is why geo-locking is stupid, Samsung_? But I bought it because of the huge, beautiful screen, and almost never use the Stylus or Pen-enabled apps. I've ordered the 32gb N5, though I was considering the Note 3. A first world dumbkoff am I, the original Note is more than adequate, fast, 64gb SD card died with my music, and replaceable batteries. Three! I don't in out of juice. But much as the new Note appeals to my technolust, I don't need the pen. Know that from nearly three years with Note 1. And the N5 is just SO much cheaper. (I've always bought off contract, and T-Mobile is my carrier, and it's getting better every day.)
G+_George J
Get used to touch wiz? Can't one just root it and put stock android on it? The Note3 looks more future proof and exciting to me than the Nexus 5.
G+_Brandon K.
Unless he buys an international Note 3, or buys the T-Mobile variant, there will be no CyanogenMod for it for quite some time. Every other carrier has the boot loader locked.

G+_Nestor Guzman
I am a GNote2 user and I love it. I installed SS Launcher and the rest of touch wiz I am Ok with. Screen size and battery life are the decisive factors for me, so I woukd go with Note3. S Pen is a bonus.

G+_Brandon K.
Alan Rodriguez I have an extreme disdain for TouchWiz. I picked up the original Note, and waited patiently for a Android Open Kang Project port. I'm a customization junky, so I prefer that to CyanogenMod. I picked up the Note 3 knowing that it mighy never have an unlocked bootloader. While it makes me sad, I can deal with it by changing the launcher and icons. I still miss Rom Control & PA settings.
