G+_Donna Shanklin
hi guys, I am trying to manually install kitkat on my 2013 nexus 7, i have the generic google driver installed and when my N7 is booted into Android, Windows 8 recognises it as "Android Composite ADB Interface" and ADB in command prompt can see the device as active, I then reboot into recovery mode and windows 8 then reverts back to an uninstalled device with the yellow explanation mark named "Nexus 7", I then proceed to install the Google USB driver and Windows just wont install it, any ideas? G+_Paul Turner
Did you try uninstalling the old drivers? Ran into a similar problem with my nexus 4. I had to completely uninstall the drivers then manually point windows to the new ones. Had to click through a whole bunch of buried options to see "have a disk".
