G+_David
This makes a lot of sense. I'd love to see a future Pixel C running a tablet version of Chrome OS. I'd definitely want to buy that. http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2015/12/the-pixel-cs-bumpy-road-from-chrome-os-concept-to-android-adoptee/
G+_Andrew Betts
I personally just want it as a tablet and really don't care about trying to use it as a productivity machine since it's the closest thing I can get to a Nexus 10 upgrade (still pissed it's not getting 6 when it wasn't even 3 years old yet)
G+_David
Andrew Betts That's reasonable. But I personally would not want to pay $500 for an Android tablet. I love Android on phones, but so far the iPad remains the best tablet on the market (in large part due to its app catalog) and the iPad Air 2 is also $500 so that's kind of a no-brainer. Plus, the big selling point for the Pixel C, in terms of hardware, is that awesome keyboard. It's obviously meant to be a sleek productivity machine. If it was running a tablet version of Chrome OS that could run some Android apps, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
G+_Andrew Betts
David Nilsen I have many issues with Apple as a company which means I will never purchase an iPad unless it is for work related reasons (like I have to dev for an app). I have no interest in Chrome OS I really wish Google would just combine ChromeOS and Android personally.
G+_R.C. Curtright
Good article. Hope it makes it easy into the show. Really sounds like they are on to something.
G+_L I
I really wish Android would add better support for keyboard/mouse inputs. Right click = LongPress should be a no brainier. And the precision of input should differentiate between touch and mouse. Split screen should be easy though I can see a possible problem with screen overlays and differentiating a swipe in from one window and swiping out from another.
