G+_Mark Wehrwein
Why #Android manufacturer should not go with small screen #Tablet. What you think? http://www.dazeinfo.com/2014/07/15/growth-tablet-pcs-slumps-8-inch-tablet-pcs-enjoy-50-market-2014/ Just a few days back, #Samsung blamed the growing demand of #smartphones in the screen range of 5-6 inch for the cannibalized sales of 7-8 inch tablets. G+_Michael Abernathy
Since I got my Huawei Ascend Mate2 6.1" phone, I've barely reached for my Nexus 7. The only reason I do is there are a few apps on tablet that I don't want on phone. While at home I used to reach for tablet all the time for the bigger screen. Now....Man this Mate 2 is nice. So I'll vouch for a bigger phone means less need for a tablet. I've had larger tablets, both android and ipad, and I prefer 7" tablet and now 6.1" phone. G+_Amit kumar Singh
Thank you Michael Abernathy for sharing, Well study says that big screen smartphone are killing small screen tablet market. In your case you have device of all screen size so availability of apps make you use one or the other device but primarily you use your smartphone that is 6.1 inch screen. Just in case if you had 6.1 inch screen smartphone hope you had never bought Nexus 7 inch tablet.
G+_Michael Abernathy
No. I've had the Nexus 7 since it came out. I've went through about 4 phones in that time all less than 5 inches. The Mate2 that I have now I just got a few weeks ago. If I had had it first I PROBABLY would never have thought about getting a 7" tablet. I DO know for me though that larger than 7" is just too big. The apps I'm referring to are mainly games but also watching movies on it. I don't want games or movies on my phone taking up space. My phone is on me all day. Work and not work. The tablet is left at home next to my chair. It serves a different purpose. So I USED to reach for my tablet at home to look things up or browse G+ but now my phone serves even that purpose too at home. So now my tablet is just the thing with all my games on it. When going on trips I can put movies on both things now and have nice sized screens to watch them on. Not just my tablet. So I can't really answer if I would or would not have bought a tablet if I had my current sized phone. The Nexus 7 at the time of release had other things going for it too. The nVidia processor and graphics being the main thing.
