G+_Brian Sargent
So I pinned 1 song in #GooglePlayMusic, switched off the wifi limitation to download it, and 2 hours later I get a message from #EE telling me I'm over my fair usage. 2.7 GB in 2 hours and not a single file to show for it!!! Persistent notification didn't go away but I didn't know it was still downloading nothing! Surely I can't be the only one! Thanks #Google for the huge phonebill and no 3g for the next month.! G+_Joe Phelps
What downloaded? Did your storage space decrease by that much?
G+_Brian Sargent
I don't think so - nothing downloaded that I can see - the original song is still in the queue and Google Play Music shows nothing available offline. A search for MP3 files on my device shows only some podcasts and an audiobook I had separately. It's truly bizzarre.
G+_Brian Sargent
My Data usage shows that Google Play Music used 2.44GB of Data today.
G+_Joe Phelps
So, in the Play Music app, if you tap to show what's On Device, nothing is there?
G+_Brian Sargent
There's only an Audiobook which I loaded separately and which isn't in my google music account (Just a Geek by Wil Wheaton, for those who're nosy :D)

G+_Callum Orr
I know this won't help you, but may help anybody else that reads it... Switch to Three. Unlimited data with no limits, and apparently when you can switch to 4g it's free. Altho I can't see them keeping that up.
G+_Brian Sargent
I'm planning to switch to giffgaff in 6 months the after my contract is done.
G+_Callum Orr
Ah from what I've heard they are even better. I was skeptical when I joined three from Vodafone a year ago but they have been excellent since then.
G+_Phillip Dyson
Do you have All Access? Check for playlists "created for you". Also did you have any playlists pinned?
G+_Benjamin Rumble
No chance you left Google Play Music playing in the background, without realising?
G+_Rick Huebner
You won't find the cached files as MP3s. My wife will create a play list on my tablet which stays at home for music and it will sync to my phone. Augh. Need a per-device setting for caching music. G+_Brian Sargent
I don't think I left it playing. Even so I think 2.5gb in 2-3 hours is more than streaming bandwidth. Rick, I did wonder about that but my storage is quite empty and Google music shows nothing locally.
G+_Rick Huebner
On my Note3 with external sd card, the music is cached in /storage/extSDcard/Android/data/com.google.android.music.
G+_Benjamin Rumble
Brian Sargent Good point. I'm glad I have a 20GB/month plan. Even then I'm only slowed down after that. No overage charges.
G+_Brian Sargent
Rick, only about 50mb of files in there.
