G+_Dean Penderghast
I have a Google Apps Account for my Business and I'm looking for a way to purchase an APP for a group of my employees and push that app on to their phones without having to log into each employee's account one by one. Is there a way to do this yet?
G+_George Fromtulsa
Work around? Set up a common Play account for the company. Every device can have an unknown # (multiples) active. To limit risk, fund the account with gift cards. Activate the account on all employee devices. Have each employee get the App. Decide how to deal with auto-updates (yes/no). If/when employees depart, change password. The common account has one other potentially useful advantage, a shared communication channel for emails to and from all, outside individual accounts. G+_Dean Penderghast
George Fromtulsa I thought about that but like you said if an employee leaves then I have to update and change the password on 9 other devices. Needs to be a better way. Your idea of a gift card may be the answer.
G+_George Fromtulsa
You don't have to change 9 passwords. Give 9 survivors the password and let them change their own. And with Authenticator App, you could make it ad simple as generating a QR code for them to scan. But if you don't mind the dear departed taking the App you bought then when they leave, the gift card works. And the way I first suggested might be a term of service no no anyway. G+_Dean Penderghast
George Fromtulsa the more I thought about it the more I'm leaning towards the gift card idea. The main reason has to do with the app itself. If the app costs $4.50 per person, then I should pay for 10 licenses of that app for my 10 employees, not once and share it with 10 employees. The other issue was with Google Wallet and putting the company credit card on everyone's account. That seemed very risky as well. Therefore the best answer is the gift cards idea. G+_George Fromtulsa
Dean Penderghast Thanks for the report. Be interested to know how it goes. Can you share with particular App merits sharing with all your staff?
