G+_Dean Penderghast
My step-dad asked me to help clean up the contacts in my mom's phone. She has some contacts in her gmail account, some in yahoo and others in her phone/sim card. I found several contacts where data is in multiple places! Anyone know of a good app that will take contacts from multiple accounts and merge them into once account? This way I can get all of her contacts and put them into her gmail account. G+_Dean Penderghast
Chris that works for just yahoo but I'm trying to find one app that will do all at one time in one fail swoop. My step-dad is 81 so simple is the key.
G+_Evelyn Yap
I use Simpler Merge by YT Development. I've used others but I found the results confusing and messy. Don't know about Yahoo contacts, I've only tried merging Google contacts and phone contacts.
G+_Dean Penderghast
I think I found it!!! Check out Contacts Optimizer Pro. This application will both merge accounts together AND do deduping of contacts. I was able to take all contacts from the Yahoo and phone, merge them to the Gmail, then dedup the Gmail account
G+_Mark Stronge
Rather obvious answer... Google contacts. Import contacts into Google using the contacts.google.com and then hit the find and merge duplicates. Done.
G+_Dean Penderghast
Mark that does not remove them from the other accounts nor does it move contacts off the phone. Keep in mind the end user is 80 years old. I was able to walk him through the process using Contacts Optimizer Pro over the phone and now all contacts are in his Gmail account. G+_Mark Stronge
You can unsync yahoo contacts using whatever app put them on the phone in the first place or just delete them manually from places you don't want them.?
G+_Dean Penderghast
Too much work. For $3 the app did it all in less than 30 seconds.
