G+_Dean Penderghast
Hey AAA family: I have a friend who just got a new phone. However all of her calendar events were put into the phone and saved to her phone, not gmail. She's also moving from T-Mobile to Verizon so we can't use any Verizon apps to move her data over either. Does anyone know of an app that will move calendar events from the phone's memory to Gmail Calenar?
G+_John Mink
Does Google not do this? That would be the obvious solution to import calendar & contacts using the Google apps directly
G+_Joseph Cappellino
Not that I know of. Try to find one with an import/export function. Good luck!
G+_John Mink
Looks like they do it by default? https://support.google.com/mail/answer/2672244?hl=en
G+_John Mink
Another point (sorry, half asleep & I'm typing as I think of these) Just because she's getting a new phone & canceling her old carrier....the old phone will still work just fine over WiFi. So I get that she wants to have everything on the new phone day but, but if it's not, you can still move it...it's not lost.

G+_Dean Penderghast
John Mink No, the Google Calendar app on any Android phone does not have the ability to move calendar events saved on the phone's memory to the gmail account.
G+_Dean Penderghast
John Mink I went to your link and that was about Contacts. This is Calendar.

G+_John Mink
A quick Google search seems to indicate the best way to do that is to export your calendar if possible, otherwise it seems like one event at a time :( Now I'm curious what you find! G+_Joseph Cappellino
John Mink?, yes, your old phone will work no problem on WiFi. It can't make carrier calls, nor send/receive SMS/MMS.
G+_John Mink
Joseph Cappellino? right! Just a reminder that the data isn't lost forever if it's not transferred over on day
G+_Steve Giralt
Dean Penderghast? pretty sure the link I posted will do the trick. Let me know if it doesn't work and we can look for an alternate solution.
