G+_Tom Gehrke
Seems like something the All About Android community might be interested in. G+_Joseph Cappellino
I'm hoping that the rumored notification handling for Android 4.3 will help things like this (and Google Glass) manage notifications a little better. Plus, add in the new Google Play services features, and this is a real win!
G+_Tom Gehrke
Joseph Cappellino Right there with ya. So this is cool. I installed the Chrome extension at the office and now that I'm home the extension is installed and the pairing code is entered. Syncing, FTW! G+_Tom Gehrke
One thing I've noticed so far is something that should really be common sense, but... the desktop notifications are largely not actionable and the temptation is to click on them to do something. At least it's tempting for me. :)
G+_Tom Gehrke
Leo Allen Not sure what the alternative is, though. Obviously a lot of the things that generate notifications on a phone or tablet don't have an equivalent on the desktop. The one that's really killing me, is the Google+ notifications. I think there's a link to Google+, but not directly to the relevant item. My brain understands it, but my finger still wants to click.
G+_Joseph Cappellino
Tom Gehrke - Also, now that it's almost time for me to leave work, the "low priority" traffic notification keeps popping up.
G+_Tom Gehrke
The app allows control over what notifications get sent to the desktop. Wonder how granular the fine tuning is.
G+_Joseph Cappellino
Yeah. It's just app specific. If I disable it, I won't get any notifications, including ones that I really want.
