G+_Tom Gehrke
In Search Of... I need a decent reminders app and know that nobody but the AAA faithful can help me. (Probably.) I've used Any.Do and it's pretty, but it has serious UX issues, IMO. I've tried several other apps and almost all of them fall short. The key feature that most of them miss, and the catalyst for restarting my quest, is the ability to repeat tasks with time intervals shorter than a day. For example, if one needs a reminder to take medication every 4 hours. The best I've found so far is reMind (linked below), but it hasn't been updated since May 2012. Don't make me write my own app to do this. What am I missing? Help me out. You're my only hope. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atdevsoft.apps.remind&hl=en
G+_Joseph Cappellino
I was going to suggest Google Now as they just added repeating reminders, but the smallest interval is one day. That being said, the only nail left in Tasks coffin is indented lists.
G+_Tom Gehrke
Joseph Cappellino When they added reminders to Google Now, I thought that was going to be it. Why are reminders & tasks so difficult? Seems like Google has all the pieces.
G+_Jacob Beach
Ya when I was reading through your post it was definitely an "I need that" moment. I generally just use various separate alarms. Then a separate calendar and I to do app. I've never found a perfect all in one, and it would take me awhile to trust new comer for reliability. G+_Tom Gehrke
Jacob Beach I'd also love something that integrates with Google Calendar. In my Nirvana, I'd be able to see a daily agenda that has appointments and scheduled tasks shown together with alerts working for everything. G+_Neil Sedlak
I think Remember the Milk should allow this. ?Edit: never mind. I forgot I had to do this with multiple daily tasks, which you could do with any app.

G+_Tom Gehrke
Neil Sedlak Yeah. It's crazy that so many work that way. I got excited at first because it had been a long time since I tried Remember the Milk. Was hoping they'd added some functionality. Eric Carr You probably missed the rest of my post since it's "below the fold" "I've used Any.Do and it's pretty, but it has serious UX issues, IMO." G+_R.C. Curtright
If it is one off's this won't work. But if you mean repeating everyday, several times, I would make a separate calendar in Google Calendar and set the default notification as a Pop Up 1 minute before due. Then create repeating events at the appropriate time of day. I believe you can even do this in the stock Google Calendar App. You can't do a repeating event by hours. For something multiple times a day you could make a daily repeating event for each of the specific times. I have something like this set up for a few repeating events myself, it syncs but is unchecked in my Calendar app so I never see it, but I get the Pop-Ups. Can snooze em or dismiss. Also you can use Simple Calendar Widget to give you a list on your home screen drawn from any combo of your Calendars and Google Tasks.? ?
G+_Wade Shields
I used to use Astrid for this. I loved how I could set a task to repeat (x) hrs, days, weeks, etc after previous task is marked complete. So bummed when they sold to Yahoo and then closed. I haven't found anything to match yet. I'm still holding out hope they will open again under yahoo.
