G+_Phil Chung
Finally got Gmail updated to 5.0. No Exchange support out of the box. I guess Exchange Services needs updating. So installed the APK from Android Police, restarted GMail and Exchange was available. All set up now on a single app and happy now ?? EDIT: One quibble though - no way of changing the icon representing email account. I have two represented with a letter P. Good job they're different colours and my work email is even in our corporate colour. Flukey... ? EDIT 2: Would be nice if I could shortcut icon to go straight to an account. G+_Rob Saw
Agreed on the icon - I have 2 accounts looking identical - same colour too! Would also be good if the notification icon was different for the different accounts..
G+_Phil Chung
I don't mind too much about the notification icon as I can see what account it is when I pull down the notification shade. I also have e a different notification sound for each account.
G+_Duncan Jaffrey
I had the same issue, will try the exchange server update
G+_Joseph Cappellino
I still use Nine Exchange Active Sync as it supports conversation view. I couldn't find any setting in Gmail that would allow me to do it. Also, I like that Nine allows the Administrator settings to be applied at the app level, and not just the device level. G+_Phil Chung
Joseph Cappellino That looks quite neat. How much is that after the trial? I'll probably stick with Gmail though. I'm just glad to get away from the HTC mail app for Exchange.
G+_Joseph Cappellino
Phil Chung - I'm sure. It is a bit expensive, as the developer has to pay licensing fees to use Exchange. As per the Google Play description [1]: _Nine is available on Google play for the low price of US$9.99. This is half price of the original price (US$19.99) as we advertised before. This is a limited time offer, so grab yours before it ends!_ As far as I know, it's been $9.99 for a long time, so not sure how much longer it will last.
