G+_Andreas Ebbert-Karroum
Guys, I have a question. I have most of my Music now on Google Play. I love it. Often, I connect my Nexus 7 to my home hifi system - just with an audio jack, nothing fancy. What I would like to do now is to control the music that is played from my Galaxy Nexus. Is that even possible somehow? Is that what the Q was about? Should I get one? :)
G+_Andreas Ebbert-Karroum
I found an app that covers the basics. Hopefully, browsing albums and artists will be added later: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.ubergrund.android.mr5
G+_Pete Moisan
Take a look at BubbleUPnP. It has some limitations without the license app, but you can definitely find out if it works for you. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bubblesoft.android.bubbleupnp&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5idWJibGVzb2Z0LmFuZHJvaWQuYnViYmxldXBucCJd

G+_Andreas Ebbert-Karroum
Pete Moisan that App has loads of features, but I am unsure if it covers what I was asking for. Can you remotely control Google Play Music playback with it? I understood it is more of a DLNA/XBMC client.
G+_Pete Moisan
Yes, the Google Music features are why I thought of it. It will allow you to browse Album/Artist/Playlist on Music (and any other UPnP devices on your network) and play remotely. It does have a ton of options and configuration if you need to do this from outside your network, but for local playback it was pretty easy to set up. I use on my Logitech Revue that's already hooked up to the stereo system, and control it with my GNex.
