G+_Brandon Sudat
To those lucky enough to have grabbed a Chromecast, I have a question: Do you find that your battery life gets chewed up? I have a VZW Galaxy S4 and it was getting warm and dropped 10% in a half hour.
G+_Daniel Eaton (ChromeCas
I generally cast from the laptop or phone but then go on to other things. Doesn't effect my S4 battery life any more than anything else.
G+_T. J. Sexton
Weird. The phone should just hand off the instructions and be done. Wouldn't expect a battery hit.
G+_Brandon Sudat
Well, I looked into it further and it would appear that I have a Google Services issue. When WiFi is on, I have Google Services taking as much as 40% power consumption. Weird! Looks like I have my work cut out for me. Thanks for the feedback! G+_Michael A
I've been casting from my N7 (first gen) and a Galaxy Note 2. Neither device gets hot or loses a lot of battery. I mean, yes, there is more battery consumption because the device's screen is on... as I'm looking and queuing things to watch, but doesn't seem out of the ordinary. What does get hot is the Chromecast itself but, as I understand it, that's normal.
