I an very excited about SMS, video, Googletalk and Google voice being integrated, but I never thought about GMail. other than the branding and hold GMail has, do you think that fits into Google's plans or should? Only because in email, you can get full HTML pages with full rich media. Hangouts is pretty much just a messenger client, which is why all the services you listed above work.
