Fleksy Keyboard Review

Want to type blindly? How about you use a keyboard that was originally made for blind users! Let's take a look at Fleksy!

This is a tapping only keyboard meaning their is no gesture typing like Swype. However it does use gestures for its functions. To input a space, swipe to the right. Swipe twice to the right for common punctuation. To delete a word, swipe to the left. Finally, to change between suggestions, swipe up or down. The first suggestion will be your original text and if you swipe up twice it will add/remove it from your dictionary.

This keyboard also has a few UI modes! It starts with a full keyboard with a spacebar and enter key but if you swipe down with two fingers it will change to the other modes. First is a mini keyboard where you have more gestures such as swiping from the bottom left corner up to shift. Do that but hold at the end to do caps lock. Swipe up from the bottom right to enter a new line. Hold while doing the enter gesture and you will activate Voice Typing. Finally, swipe left from the bottom right up to switch to symbols and right from the bottom left for advanced symbols. Swipe down with two fingers again and you get an invisible keyboard. The same gestures for the mini keyboard apply except for the symbols gestures.

In settings you can change the theme between two: Darkside and Vanilla. You also have 3 size options. You can also enable in settings an full screen invisible keyboard by tapping on the version 15 times and selecting Full Screen Invisible Keyboard. From here you can also enable other experimental options that they may test in the future.

So should you download this? I say that you should. It is fast and simple to use! It is also very good looking.
