G+_James Clark (Jamie)
In All about Android Episode 277, they mentioned "Google Play Family Library". I was happy. I have two kids and a spouse. Till I got this, "Account not supported You can only join a family group with a personal Google Account, not a Google for Work or Google for Education account" Drats!!! A vanity domain name gmail account cannot even join a "Google Play Family Library" These two restrictions really hurt.... Age requirement You must be 18 or older (20 in Japan) to manage a family group. If you're between ages 13-17, you can still join someone else's family group. Come on Google... Make "Google Play Family Library" like Amazon Kindle Freetime! We got the vanity domain name gmail account while Google Apps was free (2008). Google Apps hasn't been free since 2012
G+_Pradyumn Vij
These restrictions shouldn't hurt, I keep my Google for Education account separate to my primary, personal Google account, I would do the same in the work place. Also the vanity accounts are more for businesses than anything else. I would have to disagree with you.
G+_James Clark (Jamie)
Amazon FreeTime accepts children w/i two age groups younger than 9 & 9-12 years old. I have a kid in each age group. Being able to share & monitor digital content within these age groups would've been taken well. "Also the vanity accounts are more for businesses than anything else." Except those who got into "Google Apps" during the four years it was free. Everyone joining after 2012, I agree with you.
G+_Mark Scholes
There's no Google accounts for under 13s yet, unless you're using Google apps, I think
