G+_Mark Stronge
Sounds like you should have entered the chase card pin since you were using it, not your Google wallet pin.? Security is good, to keep your money safe!
G+_Jean-Pierre White
Mark Stronge I'm not even sure Chase have issued a PIN for my CC, or if they have I don't know it. It is a credit card, as such doesn't normally require a PIN at a payment terminal. If it asks again I may try continuing without one. If that doesn't work I'll have to use my Brick and Mortar bank (Regions) Visa instead.
G+_Mark Stronge
All cards in the UK are issued a pin as we pay using chip and pin but even before we had chip and pin, you always get a pin fit using at an ATM. No doubt, you have a pin for the chase card but never needed it because you don't use the card at an ATM and always sign to pay.?
G+_Jean-Pierre White
Mark Stronge Yes, I've used Chip-and-PIN in the UK using my HSBC card when on holiday this year. We have Chip cards in the US now, but they are all chip and sign. Pretty dumb if you ask me. Only 27% of merchants have chip enabled terminals in the US. Many merchants over here waive the need to sign for small transactions. Even when they do require signature they never actually turn the card over to check the signature. The only reason my cards have a signature on them is because we used them in the UK this summer :-)
G+_David Swick
It failed for me too, using it at a grocery store with a lot of other shoppers waiting in line impatiently behind me. I got a lot of dirty looks from them too. I see google cracking, Android pay / google wallet nighrmare and google now not working all that smoothly as mentioned in someone else's post. Stop with the constant new features and hone the ones you have Google. ?
G+_Terrance Clayton
Worked fine for me the first time.
G+_Paul Werner
Worked fine for my mother in law but she uses Citibank. I use Chase & the only pin it wanted was the pin set for Pay
G+_Jean-Pierre White
Paul Werner So you are required to enter a PIN then? Didn't think it was meant to work that way. I do know my Wallet PIN which is the one I used at the store.
G+_Paul Werner
Yeah there is an extra pin it asks for where you have to tap again. On my phone it did that at least. For my mother in law she just put in her pin to unlock her phone and tapped to pay without needing anything else to be done
G+_Jean-Pierre White
Paul Werner It seems Android Pay requires a PIN if you don't have a fingerprint scanner (according to USA Today). http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2015/09/14/android-pay/72238824/ Sometimes the PIN comes up on the phone, sometimes on the payment terminal. A little quirky in this initial roll-out.
