G+_Kenny “KitkatRai” Rouss
I have a question I'd like to be answered, now I'm currently on T-Mobile, you know, the guys who tout having unlocked devices and Un-Carrier, currently I have a Google Play Edition phone, which is unlocked of course, but was told that carriers can still delay updates for my phone (not saying T-Mobile will or will not) does it matter for me to search for an unlocked HTC One M8 or LG G3, or getting a Nexus 6 directly from the Google Store while on T-Mobile? Or should I simply just get this gen / next gen devices from my carrier? Since I assume they'll probably have them unlocked and it'd be a bit more affordable that way than just paying the full price outright, I know of course there may be "bloatware" but that doesn't matter much for me
G+_Joseph Cappellino
The carrier can really only delay updates for devices you get from them. Nexus devices can technically be delayed as well, but you can always ADB Sideload the OTA updates.
