G+_Tom Wiswell
Would like to be able to send and receive SMS & MMS texts on my phone & computer. Is there a good ap that will let me send and receive on either device? I don't think Hangouts is an option for the PC unless I'm missing something. G+_Tom Wiswell
Joe Phelps Pushbullet works great to let me know I have a text, but I can't respond to that text on my computer. Can I?
G+_Joe Phelps
Tom Wiswell Good question. I guess I only read the texts on the PC and respond via my phone.
G+_Keith Wilson
I use Mighty Text. I can send and receive text and SMS messages through Chrome easily.

G+_Joseph Cappellino
There is also DeskSms from ClockworkMod (of Koushik Dutta fame). I haven't used it (I use Google Voice), but I've heard good things.
G+_Gary McCrorey
SMS? Google Voice. Been using it for years for text. MMS? Gmail, G+, Hangouts.
G+_Christopher Sisk
Google Voice is good for just SMS (and calls though there's no telling what'll happen at Google I/O with it potentially merging into Hangouts) but personally, I think Hangouts is the best option. Though it's not exclusively SMS (it can handle your phone's SMS but doesn't bring SMS messages to your Desktop) If you use Hangout by itself (which is more of a cross-platform Instant Messenger) then everything's golden.. plus you can send full-size images, maps, video call, and more via a message.
