G+_Joe C. Hecht
Here is a unique idea for the Raspberry Pi: I have a pile of screens for the Palm-TX, complete with digitizer. Last time I looked, they were way cheap on eBay (a couple of bucks). I think they are a high res VGA resolution. It would be very cool to hook them up to a Raspberry Pi or (preferably) a Beagle Bone Black (it's like a pi but way faster). You might even get a touchscreen out of the deal! G+_Taylor Graham
You'd need a controller to drive the display.. And something to allow that digitizer to interface over USB or something. Which, if you're asking, is probably beyond you. No offense, I couldn't do it either. You'd be better off just picking up a screen made for the pi on amazon. They're surprisingly cheap. 60 or so bucks will get you a display that's more than twice the resolution of that Palm screen with all of the parts you need included. G+_Joe C. Hecht
I already have piles of little screens for the Pi's, that I suspect will someday end up next to the pile of Palm-TX screens. Actually, I re purposed 2 of them as little screens for the servers I run headless, one for the Mac sever sitting underneath the drivers seat in the car, the other in the garage. G+_Taylor Graham
why not just use your pi screens then? If you really want to use the palm stuff, you could build your own controllers both the digitizer and display. You'd be in for a wild ride though.. Unless you can find a vga/hdmi controller for that display, but i kinda doubt they exist.
