G+_Eduardo Maldonado
I would like to see a show where PC gameplay is capture edited and posted on to you tube. I tried Fraps but really slowdown FPS from games. I'm lost to editing video applications and capture applications.
G+_Joshua Hamlett
Use a second computer with a video capture card. Have never had the occasion to try, but if you have HDMI out (mirrored) and a modern HDMI capture card with other decent hardware (fast CPU and hard drive) it should work with any video editing software. G+_Ben Reese
Nvidia has a card that will handle the recording on the card and won't slow the frame rate - at least nothing noticeable.
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
We've got a segment planned for late Jan on recording games. Basically it goes like this from worst to best solution: 1. FRAPS 2. NVIDIA Shadow Play 3. AVERMEDIA HDMI Recording card. + dedicated PC.
G+_Eduardo Maldonado
Nice to hear the show is coming soon. I think the digital workflow is as important as the capture. FRAPS uses a propietary format you can't use by an editor and you cannot share on this format. The file needs to be converted to Avi not a friendly format for edition. Also once edited and putting the recorded capture on Social media needs to consider the resolution and the FPS. Let say you need the capture at 1440 30fps or 1080p at 60fps. As you see the workflow applications are essential part of a show that has the intention to explain How it works.
