I would love an episode that goes over how to get OTA on some sort of device (Roku, Chromecast, HTPC) without having to switch inputs & gives you the closest user experience to what you might get with a cable box or tivo.

The stuff i have seen for Roku, like the Plex or Tablo apps, are all just the generic Roku interface. I have seen a product called HDHRfling that works with a Homerun Prime that promises to give what i am looking for but it seems a daunting to get to work. Any thoughts/suggestions would be great.

I've got a TV tuner card in my PC and there are a few programs/services that will stream from that over IP. Unfortunately, I'm running Windows Server 2012r2 and Win Server has limited support for TV cards. I want to say there's a plug in for PLEX, but haven't checked. I know there are add-ons for XBMC (KODI?) and I've had a little success streaming TV to my Raspberry Pi.

This is going to bother me till I find it. One of the main topics in the episode was OTA TV and they showed off an external tuner card that converted the channel to a IP stream on your network instead of sending it to a specific computer. I am not sure how long ago it was on but I am pretty sure Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ was on it. And I know there was a second host.

OTA antenna to TiVo Roameo. I was just reading about them today. I get great network television OTA but would like the TiVo option. I'm gonna read up more about them (never owned TiVo before). By the way, I'm cord cutter, using Apple TV for new releases, Netflix for streaming older shows and some original programming, Hulu for catching up on shows, and antenna for network and local broadcasts.

I found the video below that shows a setup that looks pretty seemless using a harmony remote & windows media center. The guy outlines what he uses in the notes. I didnt realize that you can add XBMC to it as well as Netflix & Amazon. I am thinking i might go this direction. Thanks guys! Though i would like a demo of HDHRfling :)
