G+_Michael Rawson
I'd love to see a show or 2 on home-build robots. Now that my first quad build is almost done I'm already thinking about my next project. i would love to build a little robot that my kids could interact with and hopefully program/build. I know there's Lego Mindstorm but that's not the right solution ... obviously! The problem with looking online seems to be which one to choose! (Nice problem to have ;)) I'd love to build a little car perhaps, say built with Arduino + Lego/wood frame or something. Perhaps pick a few, say starting with a cheap and easy one then moving up through the ranks. Perhaps a robotic arm too. That would be cool. G+_Eddie Foy
Home robot is nearly a Pandora's box. iRobot (the Roomba folks) have a good base to work from. Not cheap, but far from a 2nd mortgage, and gives a solid mobility platform inside a house. Pop what ever 'brain' & mechanics you want on top. G+_Michael Rawson
Eddie Foy I do agree but that's kinda my point. There are so many options around it's difficult to know where to start. The KH guys would be great at pointing out some good places to start and give useful info alongside. Like they did with quadcopters!
G+_Travis Hershberger
I got a robot kit for some friends from Maker Shed a few years back. Controlled with an Arduino motor control board. http://www.makershed.com/collections/robot-kits
