I haven't watched Know How for a while but after watching TWIT 492 and seeing Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ talking about Quad's and Drones I had to check out Know How again. I just watched episode 122 and have downloaded several other episodes that had quad copter in the title. I build my first quad about a year ago. I got everything from Paul at RTFQ. My setup is the OPQ frame, house flip motors, RTF SimonK house 20amp esc, Power Dis board, Flip 1.5 controler and spektrum receiver.  Have you thought about trying the OPQ frame? It has been indestructible! My 13 year old son flew it full speed into the ground hitting one of the arms and nothing happened to it...maybe a slight bend in the arm.

 

Anyway, I would like to add gps to my quad. I purchased, from RTFQ, this uBlox 6m GPS module and the Flip Navi-Ctrl board(no mag option). Have you done anything with adding gps to the flip controler? If not, can you? I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around how to attached everything and how to set it up properly.

Short answer: yes.

 

Longer Answer: Yes, but we don't get to show it until March because we promised to give the non-multi-rotor fans of KH a break from all the Quadsanity. :(
