G+_Vasil Kalchev
An episode about building cheap home automation with Raspberry Pi.
G+_Joe C. Hecht
You should try some of the Raspberry Pi communities, where they post home automation projects daily by the "bakers dozen". There is a constant flow of amazing projects everyday (I promise). Try the Beaglebone communities as well (the Americanized pi by TI... it's only $10 more than, but way more powerful, and many of the projects will work almost unaltered). Lots of great stuff! G+_Les Ashworth
Have a look at openhab. It runs really well on the pi and has many bindings to allow control of equipment.
G+_Vasil Kalchev
I think openhab is exactly what I was looking for, I will try it soon.
