G+_Nick Barlow
after watching the photo organizing show it made me wonder how to digitize boxes/albums of photo prints. i have seen many articles on the net about how to do this but i think iyaz and leo could do this better for everyone. and it would be a great flow from the last show. G+_Karen Hope
That is on my to do list. Would love to cut to the chase and find out the best way to do this!
G+_Demetrius Mandzych
Most scanners can do multiple photos at a time per scan then cropping each during the preview phase. That's if you use a flatbed scanner. Alternatively with a document scanner you might be able to automate it better provides the photos themselves aren't fragile. G+_John Mink
If the documents are super sensitive & you want someone else to take care of them, there's plenty of companies like: http://www.scanmyphotos.com/ If you (like me) don't want to rely on someone else (even a professional) then here's a lifehacker page for ya: http://lifehacker.com/5557695/the-step+by+step-guide-to-digitizing-your-life
G+_iyaz akhtar
Digitizing you albums seems like it would be the following: 1. Get a scanner 2. Scan your photos I must be missing something. Help?
G+_Nick Barlow
if you place a lot of of photos on the scanner which software do you use if your equipment doesn't have the software to automatically separate each photo from the one large file. G+_John Mink
The tricky part of iyaz akhtar's comment seems to be step 1, find a scanner! https://plus.google.com/104669896866704065908/posts/YKFQDtwLnUZ
G+_Nick Kosmas
Has anyone used the iPics 2 Go Photo, Slide and Negative Scanner for iPhone 4 & iPhone 4S? http://www.ionaudio.com/products/details/pics2go
G+_Bruce Miller
Most of the scanners I've bought including my current Brother all in one, allow you to scan multiple pictures at once by drawing boxes around the pictures in preview. Some will even automatically detect each picture making it even easier. My problem is figuring out the best way to organize them since you don't have date information in the pre-digital age unless someone wrote the date on the photo.
