can you please make a special channel for quad copters here on G+

I'm pretty sure these requests are made at least once a week. Eventually they'll probably just give in and do it. I'm not sure that will actually solve the problem though...

What we really need is competition. What do you want to see posts on instead? You can regulate all you want but that doesn't change the content of the posts.

Wait, are we talking about G+ or FCC decisions?

I'm interested in seeing the technology from multi-rotors used in other applications and seeing how well it will scale.

For example, how can we use the quick responding flight controllers to make a better car? I've seen one video of a hexacopter (sp?) carrying a person, but that didn't look like a user friendly design.

How can we keep these things in the air for a longer period of time? The idea of using them for deliveries sounds cool, but you can't make it more than a few miles with a 30 minute round-trip. How about a small gasoline motor running a generator?

We got the same request when we were covering crypto-currency and there were people who didn't like crypto-currency. We got the same request when I started covering network technology and there were people who weren't interested in network technology. Now we're getting people who don't want to see Multi-Rotor material.

-- If you want to see other topics, it's an open forum and I would absolutely be honored if you would ask questions / post projects / etc. Otherwise, I do not feel comfortable segregating the community because some are not comfortable with seeing that a HUGE MAJORITY of our G+ community seem to be interested at the moment.

Good idea.

For instance, I would love to see the Know How crew build a pan-tilt head. OK, I have a vested interest in this, as I have a small business shooting concerts - I do an 8 camera concert shoot by myself. Pan-tilt heads come in two flavors - cheap junk and WAY too expensive.

I'm looking to build my own system, using servos and building the support elements using a 3D printer. That part is easy, it's the control parts that are difficult.

The thing is, this is something that Twit it's self could use. From what I've seen, you have a whole bunch of Canon G10 cameras, but except on very rare occasions (like New Years) none of them ever move. If we could work together on an affordable pan-tilt head that could support a G10 or smaller camera, it could prove very useful for Twit's "over the shoulder" and "overhead" product shots - which are currently handled only by zooming in with the Tricaster (and losing resolution.)
