G+_Max Heep
I think building a quiet pc would make a great episode.
G+_Joseph Scafide
A water cooled system and finding a video card which does not has a loud fan is a must. I also use Western Digital green drive and SSD and achieved a very quiet pc.
G+_Timothy Hamlett
you also might use a under-clocked PC (see episode 40) to make it more electricity efficient etc.
G+_K R
You could chose a case that's silent .
G+_Rob Locke
Although water-cooling is a great way to reduce noise levels, it is rather costly. It might be interesting to have an episode looking at cable-routing within the case, mounting fans on rubber brackets to reduce vibration, or replacing certain parts to be more thermally efficient, but all on a budget. G+_Joseph Scafide
My Water cooler is an encased Corsair H50 Core i7 Water Cooler cost me $75.40 a couple years ago. I like the case idea and never thought about rubber brackets, can you give me more information Rob Locke I am always looking into ways to reduce noise. Here my system now granted the case is not that quiet but overall poor consumption and sound are great. Also this was built three years ago with a few updates along the way. G+_Rob Locke
These are the sort of thing I use. Some fans come with entire rubber surrounds to hold them in place, but I haven't seen these as a separate accessory. However, you can get these rubber fixing, that work with most (if not all) case fans. http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=60_325
