I don't use crashplan, but this seems like a good starting point....hopefully someone who does can expand (unless Padre just goes all out with it being a segment):

I've setup crashplan on one of my Synology boxes... but I was not happy with what it did to the array's performance. -- Eventually I just purchased a cheap ($100) NUC that did the syncing. Low power, can sync multiple network storage devices, and it saved my array from crawling.
