G+_Abanoub Ghipriel
Hello Know it All's. I had a quick question. How can I make my own SMS service? You know, the one where it asks for your name and phone number and you get a text message from them every day or something like that. I looked into something called a SMS Server but I'm not sure if that's the same thing.

G+_Cole Brodine
I'm not sure about SMS, but many US Carriers give the ability to email a phone number and have them receive a SMS. For example, Verizon customers can receive a text message by e-mailing phonenumber@vtext.com(e.g. 5551234567@vtext.com) If you knew everybody's carrier and their email you could put together an email list that would do this. Just make sure to keep the emails you send under 140 characters so that they fit in a single text message.
G+_Abanoub Ghipriel
I do know you can do this but is their someway that I will be able to automate it, instead of sending an email everyday with the info, I would just set it up once and it would send it like that. Would that work?
G+_Dave Hart
Have a look at https://ifttt.com/wtf If you set up a daily text message in a file and pulled out the line of the file based on the date / day of the year (or use a file per day and name the file based on the day). Knightwise did a podcast on this some time ago.
