Back up solution for both PC and Mac?

I have a readyNAS duo (2x 2TB - RAID 0) that used to work as a great network backup for both Mac Time Machine and Windows Vista. I upgraded to Windows 8 on the PC and it will not back up on my NAS. I use this NAS as a central media store / backup and I don't want another separate box for the PC. Maybe third party software would work for the PC? I really don't want to have to get a new NAS.

Love the show!

You may already be aware, but if your attempting to use the old Win7/Vista file recovery app, it requires the pro version to backup to network drives.  I just turned on the Win8 'file history' on my laptop and it recognized my network locations -- a nice surprise. I currently have it backing up to a network share on my WHS box. Just a thought, good luck.

Thanks Guys. I think the Win7 app works by saving an image file, which I think needs the NTFS file system, which my ReadyNAS Duo doesn't support. I am now trying a third party app I got free with a magazine (uh-oh...!) called Genie Timeline 2012, which I think is supposed to work a bit like TimeMachine. It tells me right now I am 54% protected, whatever that means, but seems to be working OK on Windows 8 so far...
