Hey Padre and Cranky River Horse

I'm needing to and cooling fans to my entertainment center I'd like to use variable speed pc fans but I can't find a power supply or or any controllers with temperature sensors to regulate speed to custom temp settings nor can I find any ardiuno or ras-pi kits with all the pieces I need? What's the deal I remember being able to get everything I need off newegg or amazon but now it's either overpriced proprietary or almost everything but 1 or 2 pieces and all controllers for pc fans are meant for computer case 5.25 bays would use those but still no compatible power supplies just enough for that.so where can I find what I need?

Here's my list of items, all from amazon. I put 4 120mm fans in the middle compartment of my entertainment center, two blowing in and two blowing out (configured with one of each on two levels). Don't forget the fan mounting screws like I did when I went to install it! There are other options available out there if you don't want to DIY (http://www.coolerguys.com) but I'm more of a DIY guy. If you're interested in a how-to, let me know and I can put one together pretty quickly.

It really doesn't take a lot of airflow to keep your components happy. I'd suggest using one low-RPM fan pulling air out near the top of each cavity. You don't necessarily need to make them temperature controlled if you already have a "smart" power strip that has a master outlet which controls the power state of the other outlets. Or, if one of your components has a switched outlet on the back for daisy-chaining components, you could plug the fans' power supply into that so it's only on when the entertainment system is on.

Thanks for that Idea next time I get someone out to be my hands for a day I'll pull out my denon iit put's the most heat out and is the most likely device to have that feature being a 4308ci onetime their flagship model, also planing on ugrading and using it as a zone 2 unit for a 7.1 setup and adding to and upgrading the network for more interactive abilities with the equipment. A solution till I can do something with arduino or ras-pi.
