I would like to be able to pull my history from my Nest Thermostat and store the information so I can look back on it to see trends or to compare this month to this month last year.  Currently you can only get the last 10 days. I would like to setup something on my computer that can pull and log the data.  Any thoughts?

Is there any option to export to CSV? I'm sure there are probably APIs that can access that data and maybe even tools built already.

I believe Nest has an API, they don't offer an option to export or download.  This is a frustration with many of the users.  I'm looking into the API, I've just haven't done anything like that before.

Yeah, if you're not a developer then APIs may be a bit more work than its worth. I've used macros in Excel / Access to pull data from pages in IE. It's not overly difficult and could be setup on a weekly or daily scheduled task. Might even be a way to do it with Google Docs Applets now too, but I haven't really gotten into that much.

How do you get the data? Local device webpage? Look at the page source - you'd be surprised at how many things like that stuff the data as a JavaScript variable inside a

You can view the data either by logging into the Nest website or from the app on a phone.
