Just watched steam punk gogles. Does anybody know what the soldering rig Padre is using and where is the best place to get one?

I know this may not help much, but I think he mentioned it a few months ago or so, when he was soldering something. I almost bought one at the time... may have been in the $70-$80 range, but could be wrong. Hopefully someone will chime in...

They reviewed a couple Soldering Stations in a Tools episode but I could find it. I think they also mentioned the Third Hand and Board Vise.

 

I wanted to tell Brian, when you don't have a third hand take the solder. form a loop around two fingers and bring the end up, sort of looks like a cobra. Set the loop on the table, this frees your hands to handle the iron and the wire you need to tin.

 

Also, if you need to solder, say a pot, use a big paper clamp to hold it. Use a heavy object, Kliens work nice, to hold it still.

 

I need to go back and review the Web episodes and build a quick reference for finding episode topics. I f I could just find them. :)
