G+_L I
Finally reverted my Pocketcasts back to the pre-Material version. I was sick of the stuttering, the lag and the force closes. And the watch app is basic at best - so I'm not losing much. I don't know if it's only optimized for phones on Lollipop but maybe I'll revisit when I finally update my phone to 5.0. The old version is much more stable and snappy for me. Is anyone else having issues with the Material version of Pocketcasts?
G+_Alan M Carlino Jr
What phone and version are you running? I'm on a non rooted Nexus 5 running 5.1.1, with no issues. There's no lag on playback, no control issues. Biggest is excellent Chromecast support, which is why I moved from Doggcatcher, which had limited Chromecast function. G+_Graham Whitehouse
Playback seems fine here (Nexus 5 stock 5.1.1) other than podcasts never restart after a phone call...
G+_L I
Alan M Carlino Jr rooted OnePlus One on KitKat. I can't figure out why the big difference in speed. Maybe I'm subscribed to too many podcasts.

G+_Alan M Carlino Jr
Lionel D My best gues (I'm not a programmer, just kind of technically literate) is that there is some kind of conflict. Possibly an API conflict or maybe a memory leak. If you're rooted I'm sure you could find an app that would allow you to monitor memory. Best suggestion take a log and send it to the devs and hope they respond.
G+_Brian Blankenship
I have some PocketCast weirdness (stock Sprint N5). A) after unplugging the headphone and manually restarting playback it occasionally stops for no reason after a few seconds, B) sometimes playback stops or the app crashes when playback is either manually paused or paused by another app.
G+_L I
I wonder if it's because I have too many podcasts. When I installed the old version my unplayed count went from 8000 to 800. Still, I never had a problem before upgrading to PC 5.
