G+_Daniel Stagner
Hello all, I am not sure what is going on with apple mail but all my yahoo accounts are offline. Anyone have any idea how to resolve this. I tried to delete one of the accounts and cant reactivate it due to the caption interruption of the login process. (click here if you are a human, then back to square one). Anyone know of an alternative free mail client that works on Mac and iOS. I have tried spark and BlueMail. But both store my email on their server. Not so cool. I also cant get them to download the last 15 years of emails from various Gmail, yahoo, Hotmail, and iCloud accounts to my Mac. G+_Akira Yamanita
You might want to try the web interface first just to make sure that everything is OK. I haven't used a desktop client in a long time but I used to use Thunderbird. On iOS, I just used the built-in client. You could try the manual configuration settings if the automated process isn't working. https://help.yahoo.com/kb/re-add-it%C2%A0in-ios-mail-sln3700.html
G+_Giligain I.
• only recently has yahoo failed miserably with their email POP. I've had to resort to using web browser(s) to login; and then it's terrible JAVA-like environment with serious delays.
G+_Daniel Stagner
Akira, The accounts are ok on the web. This seems to be an interface problem with authentication in the mail app. Also Spark and BlueMail apps seems to work. They do not how ever seem to download all emails. Do you know of any other Mac/iOS apps.
G+_Daniel Stagner
Good news. I just figured out what was going on. I have been traveling and using a VPN service. Apparently, my VPN had something to do with yahoo not working. I turned the VPN off when I got home this afternoon and the mail flooded in. After reading that the VPN may have had something to do with the hiccup. I turned it back on and tried to get my email. Nothing... Turned it back off and got more mail. Problem Solved.
