G+_Lance John
Hey guys is there such a thing as power supply monitor software? I ask this because I think the added memory maybe affect my power supply because in the middle of me doing a show or doing some editing work it shuts off on me. This never happen before I added the extra memory. I removed it and it seems to me working fine now but I sill wanted to know if there was a way to see how much power is been used up with my current config. G+_Taylor Graham
Ram barely pulls any power. You never had this problem before?

G+_Taylor Graham
When the machine shuts down, does it just cut out? My work machine was doing that not long ago. When i looked inside the machine when it was running, i noticed my GPU fan wasnt running. At first i though the fan had died and was causing the machine to shut off because of high temperature, but the PSU ended up being bad. The gpu probably just wasnt getting the power it needed. I replaced the psu and everything has been fine since. If the machine just cuts out (no bluescreen), your PSU might just be dying, RMA it. Your cpu could be reaching TJ max as well (max temperature), so check your temps with core temp or real temp or something.
G+_Taylor Graham
I think its possible to test a PSU with a multimeter. You'd just have to pull the psu out, use a wire to start it up, and test the voltages on the 24pin connector. I've never done it before, but im sure google could tell you a good bit about it. A test with a multimeter might not confirm if it will operate properly under load though. Honestly, you might just want to return it.
G+_Lance John
Yeah I have a feeling it is my PSU but I will look into testing it the way you suggested. Thanks a lot for the help.
G+_Taylor Graham
No problem. Some manufacturers will send you a new psu before you send them your old one if you pay like $20. The best test for a bad psu is a new one. That might be a good way to go, since it sounds like you're depending in this machine. Good luck! G+_Joe Phelps
I think it's more likely an overheating issue.
G+_Don Laboucane
Test memory and check for compatability
