G+_Alex L.
As Nike published an API some weeks ago, I decided to look at it (an API is a protocol to communicate between devices). Maybe I could retrieve my Fuelband data and display it on an Android app ? So I spent several hours playing with it and made a very basic app listing all my recent activities. The current Nike API has a closed authentication protocol but is based on a very common one. I requested a client ID to Nike so I could create an Android app and publish it. One week later I received a reply telling me that's not possible to get a client ID because I'm not part of the Nike Accelerator program and it's not possible to join it for now. This is so frustrating because my Android app is working !
G+_Darrell Sullivan
It is disapointing that they will not even allow a third party to develop an Android app. Oh well, I know what I won't be purchasing.
