G+_Eric Kolesnikovas
Any recommendations for broadcasting live video & audio through a local WiFi Network to multiple TV's? The internet speed at the location is poor so we can't do a internet streaming video. I would have 1 - 3 cameras and a computer screen for possible video inputs. Then audio direct from an existing sound board. What is an affordable way to get started with the video/audio switching, broadcasting to multiple TV's and recording the final output for future uploading to the internet. I am thinking something using Roku sticks or Chrome cast devices on the TV's but am open to ideas.
G+_Ben Reese
Are the cameras WiFi or wired? Raspberry Pi or Fire TV Stick can run Kodi and play video streams, but if you want all 3/4 views together you'll need some way to mix that... G+_Ben Reese
If you can get all the inputs into a single computer, something like vmix or Open Broadcaster System (OBS) can switch/mix the video and audio feeds. They'll want someplace like an RTMP server to send that video too, but once it's there you can stream that to the TVs. Expect some delay though - I'd expect maybe 5 sec or so on local network probably depending on your RTMP (or maybe RTSP) server. Budget is a big determining factor. You can get a USB Composite capture device for ~$30 on Amazon, but if you want HDMI or SPI you'll be paying quite a bit more. ?
