G+_Nicholas Franks
Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ? , Watched the SN you did. You running dockers container on a box in a closet for your browser, or I miss understood ? Anyways sounds like a fun idea
G+_John Mink
I'd be curious to hear a bit more about this too! I like the idea of running a totally sandboxed browser, as do many listeners of Security Now, I'm sure!
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Not really that complicated... Super light Linux + vnc + chrome. :)
G+_John Mink
Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ but this is the internet, we can totally overthink these things! VNC doesn't have a -Y function like SSH though, does it? So you get some cruft around the "browser" window, right? Not a huge deal, just curious how it differs from a more "standard" approach! Also, didn't you say each version of chrome is being run separately? Are you spinning up a container or VM or something for each instance? How are you pulling that off? Do you have any write protection or some other way to prevent the browser on your server from infecting the server? What about when you want to download something? I assume you have a shared point on a NAS (or knowing you a SAN, just because)?
