G+_Doug FromEagan
My first attempt with Handbrake (show #42 on Handbrake) using the windows version that didn't look like the one you guys were using. Said I had the most current upgrades. :( Back to the drawing board.
G+_Keith McCaffery
I tried the Windows version after the show and was very happy with the results. It was my first experience of video compression.
G+_Cole Brodine
I'd try selecting a preset and see if you get garbage. If it still looks like this, you may have a deeper issue than handbrake settings.
G+_Martin Roitman
Handbreake is all about machine power. The better the computer that you use the better. In my Dell Latitude 6400 with dual core and 4 gb ram. Will take about 18 hs to download a 30 minute video from a DVD. With the new one only minutes. G+_Garrie McLaws
I had a very similar problem, I ended up finding DVD Shrink (it is free) and that allowed me to copy the VOBs off the disc onto the hard drive. Then HandBrake performed as expected and demonstrated in the episode (though the windows layout is very different). An error message from VLC lead me to see that it was a problem with the encryption scheme of the DVDs and that my computer didn't understand how to perform the decryption properly. Hope this helps. G+_Doug FromEagan
Yes, thanks Garrie! DVD Shrink works great!
G+_iyaz akhtar
Handbrake doesn't break the CSS encryption. You have to rip a DVD then put it through Handbrake like Garrie McLaws said. Thanks guys.
