G+_Dennis Millican
Hi Padre, when you do the followup to your Know How show about Tinkercad, can you show me how you measure and input the hole dimensions like for a fan or PC board in Tinkercad so when you print them they line up. I am really new at this. PS: Thanks for (F)ocus and (D)rop they are really useful.
G+_Robert Gauld
If you can find the tech sheet for the part it should have that information. For a fairly standard part like a PC fan, raspberry pi Google should find the dimensions fine. For anything else a good pair of calipers, making a note of what you measure for future use. G+_Robert Gauld
In tinkercad I'll create one hole (or whatever), duplicate it and then move one the amount I measured or is shown on the tech sheets. (Sorry for two replies, I'd just done my first and realised another way to interpret the question)
G+_Dennis Millican
Thanks Robert, I'll practice. My problem seems to come when I think I have the dimensions nailed and I stretch the base and everything gets messed up.
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
I always measure to the edge of the hole, then the width of the hole itself.
